PD Period for our June trip!

Okay, I am a slack blogger. I didn't post trip reports from my short February trip with the girls. I'm too "bogged down" to blog.

I hereby make an oath to blog blog blog out the wazoo in the PD period (pre-Disney) prior to my upcoming June trip. And, I hereby make an oath to post pictures and do a day by day trip report. I slacked off in February, but it won't happen again.

That said - I'm just going to 'blab' a little now about my upcoming trip.

Plans are made! We are definitely in the PD period. It seems Disney isn't offering anything much in the way of annual passholder discounts for early June, but luckily the Swan and Dolphin offer discounts throughout the year...and you don't have to sweat it by waiting for a code from Disney. Disney typically releases discount codes 2 months out. So, we decided we would stay at the 4-star Dolphin - got a great rate of $194.50. We've stayed there in the past, but not for our week-long trips, only for quick long-weekend trips over Thanksgiving. That said, we've never been able to actually get in the grotto pool there at the Swan and Dolphin. Too cold for us southerners to actually get in water in November. It looks amazing - and we're thoroughly looking forward to it. So - that is why we named this trip "Finally get in the grotto pool tour."

Every Disney trip must have a name. Here are some names of our past trips:

"Head on a Polynesian Pillow" Tour - this name came to pass from my husband. He always said "I'll know I've made it when I wake up at Disney and my head is on a Polynesian Pillow." Well, after 10 years of Disney visits, we FINALLY stayed at the Polynesian in 2004. So, he must have "made it."

"The Grand Tour" - We stayed at the Grand Floridian.

"Storm Storm-a-long Bay Tour" - We hadn't stayed at the Yacht or Beach club in awhile and we really missed our favorite Disney pool. Love that sand bottom! Got in lots of pool time this trip.

It's not always about the resort............

"Kick off the Holidays In Disney Style Tour" - This was our first trip to Disney during the holiday season.

"Stop and Smell the Roses Tour" - Went during the International Flower & Garden Festival, but I think the real reason for the name was because I got on to my husband about always rushing around and not taking time to relax during our trips. He promised to "stop and smell the roses." He did! Kind of.

We've also got our dining reservations made. The official itinerary is in progress and will be posted soon. Made the following Advance Dining Reservations: Kona Cafe (breakfast), Flying Fish, Blue Zoo, Shulas, Raglan Road, Hoop-de-Doo Revue (dinner show), Boma (breakfast). We'll also hit other places that don't really necessitate ADR's like Kimonos (great Sushi place at the Swan), Beaches & Cream, Fresh, Splash Grill (at the Grotto Pool), and Garden Grove (great breakfast buffet at the Swan).

69 days and counting!!!!!
