3 1/2 days to go!

I can't believe it - the trip is almost here. With work and husband out of town, it's been a whirlwind. But, the traditions have kicked into high gear. We watched Vacation last night so that means it's official. We're headed down the Holiday Road. Need to check off the other traditions we have fulfilled since his return on Memorial Day:

* Our DVR has been working over time playing Disney DVD's for us! We just recently discovered the Extinct Attractions club - can't believe it took this long. We have Tiki Room, Carousel of Progress, Haunted Mansion, Epcot opening, to name a few. In fact, last night we were so engrossed in the Haunted Mansion video that we didn't realize it was like 10:30. Past our bedtime.

* Packing List - we put it together last night

* We've been shopping for a few new items for the trip. Husband bought one pair of shorts, a shirt, some socks and undies. I've bought several shirts and a couple pairs of shorts. We're certainly ready to pack, if we can ever get to the laundry.

* We haven't ridden our horses much and done the "can you see us talk" because it's been so blazing hot we haven't felt like riding. We're hoping to get a ride in this evening say at 8:00 or later, or first thing in the a.m., like 7:00 a.m. It's been close to 100 degrees here today. We also haven't really worked on our suntans for that same reason. One thing, we'll certainly be ready for the warm central Florida weather. With this heat wave, it's hotter here than it is there.

* We've got a folder together now that has all of our information including flights, car rental, Dolphin reservation, and the ever-so-important itinerary. The itinerary gives a general idea of where we will be on a given day, although we like to leave open time. It also lists and ADR's we have made. Here it is:

Thursday, 6/12 – First Full Day - Epcot
*Local breakfast – get up anytime
*Epcot in the a.m.
*Afternoon break/open lunch

*Movie on the beach

Friday, 6/13 – MK/AK day/Sushi & Karaoke
*Kona Café @ 7:30 Res# 48862782
*Hop on the monorail and head to the MK
*Late Lunch @ Beaches & Cream
*Animal Kingdom from 4:00-ish to 8:00
*Kimonos for sushi, champagne cocktails and karaoke (Leonard to sing a lot and Pam will sing too)

Saturday, 6/14 – MGM/Hoop De Doo Review
*Local breakfast – get up anytime due to champagne cocktails
*MGM in the a.m. (head for Indiana Jones, TOT, RNR)
*Afternoon Break/Open Lunch
*Pick up Hoop De Doo tickets from the Boardwalk/YC or BC
*Hoop De Doo @ 7:15 – Res # 48862843 – arrive 30 minutes before the show

Sunday, 6/15 – EMH Evenings @ MK
*Local breakfast – get up anytime
*Pool, golf, etc – whatever strikes our fancy
*Drive to the MK parking lot – go to Contemporary via monorail. Explore CR, then take the boat to WL
*Dinner @ Artist Point @ 7:00 Res# 48917374
*EMH @ MK (open until 2:00)

Monday, 6/16 – Open Morning/Fantasmic
*Local breakfast – get up any time
*Open a.m. (maybe DTD for some shopping OR a swim or two)

Tuesday, 6/17 – Animal Kingdom

*Animal Kingdom all day long til we can’t stand it

Wednesday, 6/18 – Sea World (and Mom’s Birthday)

*Offsite dinner – no plans – just see where the wind takes us. Maybe Stonewood @ Dr. Phillips

Thursday, 6/19 – Last day/Saratoga Springs
*Local Breakfast – check out – head to Saratoga Springs
*Hit whatever park we want to or hang out at Saratoga pool

*Chain each other to the bed and refuse to leave!!!
*Cry ourselves to sleep

Our flight Friday is at 10:30 a.m. It's so hard to leave, but we know, WE KNOW, we'll be back!
Next trip is undefined as we're having to cancel our late September trip due to my husband getting a gig. We're hoping for October. Perhaps mid to late October. We'll see.

The beauty of Disney, it's always there, the same...waiting on you to return.
